The Deplorable Book Club
Books the trade will not touch.
A club that will.
We exist for the unpublishables — sharp history, awkward biography, cultural critique that never clears the risk committee — and for the deplorables who still want to read them. Editing and design, Amazon KDP, a monthly essay magazine, forums, and UK author nights. Not a bland book box.
Planned membership £8–12/month. No payment taken yet — just tell us you want in.
Books
The unpublishables, properly edited and designed, then sold via Amazon KDP — with 20–30% off for club members.
Magazine
A monthly long-essay magazine: contrarian thinkers on the rows polite titles walk around.
Nights out
First up: a meet-the-author evening in London, December 2026 (date TBA). Subscribers first; tickets ~£15–25. More UK nights as demand grows.
Why bother
Soft censorship is still censorship
Mainstream lists favour safe taste. Historians, journalists, and thinkers with heterodox ideas — forgotten wars, contested culture, inconvenient biography — often find the door shut. We open another one, without pretending every provocation is wisdom.
We sell the authors as hard as the books: profiles, events, and shared marketing so solo writers are not left shouting into the void. Readers get unfiltered work; authors get craft help and a room that actually wants the argument.
